Premier Pipes Limited is a group Company of "Premier Group" which has emerged as a fast growing organization aiming to reach higher for achieving greater long term growth and development. The Company started as a partnership firm under the name and style of Quality Steel Tubes w.e.f. 22nd July, 1971, to manufacture and sell Steel Pipes and Tubes and other industrial stores etc. there after achieving higher growth and for better future prospects, it was incorporated on 15th April 1975 as a Private Limited Company under the name of Quality Steel Tubes Private Limited. The main object of the Company was to take possession of the business of Quality Steel Tubes under the provisions of Part IX of Section 566 of the Companies Act, 1956. It was duly converted into a public limited company on 12th December, 1984 and in the year 1986, company came out with a public issue of 11 lacs equity shares of Rs. 10/- each aggregating Rs. 110.00 lacs. The shares got listed on Kanpur, Delhi and Bombay Stock Exchange. As the products of the company were gaining popularity through its brand name QST therefore company decided to change its name to QST Limited and the name of the company changed to QST Limited on 24th November, 1995. The Company came out with a Right Issue also in the year 1996. Subsequently the name of the Company changed to PREMIER PIPES LIMITED on 7th December, 2010.

OUR INFRASTRUCTURE :  -

Premier TMT Bars exhibits properties of a low carbon hot rolled steel which obtains its high strength from a mill heat treatment and tempering process. Quenching : the hot rolled bar leaving the final mill stand passes through a water cooling line where the surface layers are quenched to form martensite while the cover remains austenitic.

Self Tempering : The bar leaves the cooling line with a temperature gradient through its cross section. The natural heat within the core, which is still austenitic, flows from the centre to the surface resulting in self tempering of the martensite which is responsible for the high strength of these bars.

Atmospheric Cooling : Finally the austenitic core is transformed to a ductile ferrite pearlite structure during the slow cooling of the bar on the cooling bed which gives higher bendability and ductility to the bar. Thus, Premier TMT bars exhibits variation in microstructure in its cross section with a tough tempered martensite at the surface layer and a ductile ferrite-pearlite in core.
High/Low Speed Rolling : Generally TMT bars are made on either high speed mill or low speed mill from sizes 8mm to 32mm wherein either quality of 8, 10, 12mm or 16, 20, 25, 32mm is batter but at premier we make 16, 20, 25, 28, 32mm on low speed thereby quality is best and 8, 10, 12 mm bars are made upto a speed of 22 mtr. / sec. in the mill supplied by M/s AMB Itlay.

The Tempcore process is widely accepted as the best process for production of high quality rebars since the technology uses low cost raw materials against costly alloy elements but results in the same high mechanical properties ensuring excellent welddability ductility and bendability a notable saving in alloy cost per ton.

The process involves heating of steel billets in a Reheating furnace and rolling them through a sequence of rolling stands which progressively reduce the billet to the final size and shape of the reinforcing bar As the bars leave the final mill stand. They are submitted to a special heat treatment involving three stages.
